A cuckoo’s call rise,
Draws the ire of a sleeper,
Hit SNOOZE, roll over.
Cat meows just outside,
Complaining about the food,
Or the lack thereof.
Groggy fellow groans,
A night’s sleep is only good
When you can sleep in.
COVID cases rise,
Put on a mask, do your part,
Got to get through this.
Music station plays,
The classic songs of childhood,
While the train car sways.
A text from a friend,
Reminds you of the good times,
To look forward to.
